Christmas this year was quite warm as has been all the past week as temperatures have reached a high of 62ºF with nighttime lows in the 50º’s.  It’s deja-vu for the year 2006 when early warm temperatures even higher confused some plants.

Clean up from Christmas is now complete as we go into the new year which then we will start our transplanting of annual flowers. Watering the storage huts by hand has been more frequent with the sun and warm temperatures and even the weeds in the hostas are growing so much so that we sprayed them with glypsophate which normally is performed in late February and March.

It remains to be seen, what surprises (if any) that winter will bring but April is only about 90 days away!
