Description:
This vigorous ground cover does well on banks or hard to maintain places.
It is an aggressive grower best used by itself to underplant larger woody
trees and shrubs. At the end of a hot, dry summer, just run the lawn
mower over it and water deeply a few times to encourage fresh, new growth.

Fertilize with Plant-tone,
Flower-tone or a water-soluble fertilizer. Division can be done
in early spring or seeds can be harvested in late summer. Remove spent
blossoms to prevent self-sowing. Also remove flower stems for a neat
appearance. If plants look ragged by late summer, simply mow them over

| Description:
An attractive groundcover for the shade, 'Variegatum' is a light green and
white variegated version of Bishop's Weed. Though it produces 14 inch tall
umbels of tiny, creamy-white flowers in early summer, it is usually grown
for its pretty foliage. If you are looking to rapidly fill in a space
beneath a tree, on a slope, or any place that nothing else will grow, this
is the perfect plant for you. It can be invasive, but if it's planted in the
right spot, it is beautiful. Try growing it near a shady path in a large tub
where its growth can be contained. |
