Description:

A low growing perennial plant that is well suited to moist, shady areas and will cover quickly to form a dense mat but they are too small and shallow rooted to really be considered invasive.  Do not plant in areas with high foot traffic.
 
Common Name: Mazus
Botanical Name: Mazus
Type: Semi-evergreen perennial ground cover
Soil Preference: Will grow in moist soil as well as well-drained or loamy soils with a pH of acidic to neutral (7.0 or below)
Light Requirements: Full sun, partial sun, partial shade
Attributes: Great for the rock garden, border or as a ground cover
Pests: None serious
Diseases: None serious
Care: Divide in spring if necessary.  Remove spent blooms.   Mulch well for the winter months.
