Description:

A fine textured evergreen shrub that tolerates pruning shearing well.  One of our favorites to be used as a border or hedge.  Boxwood only requires well-drained soil and prefers shading and wind protection in winter if grown on an exposed site.   Pollen can cause significant allergies in certain people.

Light Requirements: Sun, Partial Shade
Attributes: Nice winter color, deer resistant
Pests: Leaf miner, spider mites, nematodes, scale
Diseases: Root rot, sensitive to damage from ozone air pollution
