Description:
Fothergilla can grow in a variety of soils but prefers a well-drained,
acidic, clay soil. It's moderate size makes it an excellent candidate for
residential landscapes and shrub borders. Fothergilla will be of year-round interest
to the gardener with its lush white spring flowers, blue/green summer foliage and
attractive red, orange or yellow fall color.
