Mulberry

Description:
Mulberry will grow in just about any soil in a sunny to partially sunny spot.  Don't be alarmed if some of the leaves drop in summer, its just a natural reaction to the heat.

 

Common Name: Weeping White Mulberry, Common Mulberry
Botanical Name: Morus
Type: Deciduous weeping tree
Growth Rate: Average
Soil Preference: Will tolerate drought and occasional wetness but prefers soil that is well-drained, loamy, sandy or clay with a pH of acidic to alkaline.
Light Requirements: Full sun, partial sun, partial shade
Attributes: Weeping
Pests: Scale, mites, Ambrosia Beetle, Asian Longhorn Beetle, lacebugs
Diseases: Leaf spot, bacterial blight, powdery mildew, canker, bacterial leaf scorch; air pollution
Care: Fertilize with Holly-tone or Plant-tone as recommended.

Description:  A weeping Mulberry with glossy green leaves that turn yellow in fall.   To keep a nice form, prune up the lower branches in winter.  All young trees should be staked.  This variety is sterile (fruitless)
