Description:
Recapture the charm of yesterday's cottage
gardens with towering spikes of hollyhocks. This is an old-fashioned
plant often seen growing alongside older farmhouses where it can re-seed
freely. Hollyhocks also make good backdrops for lower growing
perennials. Though their stalks are very strong, they may need to be
staked if they are planted in a windy site. However, they may not need
staking if planted next to a fence or wall.
