Description:
A creeping, moss-like, evergreen ground cover for use in a rock garden or around stepping stones in a pathway.   Tiny white flowers appear atop the tight green carpet of foliage from late spring to mid-summer.
 
Common Name: Irish Moss, Corsican Pearlwort
Botanical Name: Sagina
Type: Ground Cover
Soil Preference: Evenly moist soil is best and good drainage is essential. The foliage will begin to brown if the plants get too dry.
Light Requirements: Full sun (best if protected from hot afternoon sun)
Attributes: Ground cover, rock garden plant

Irish Moss is especially beautiful growing between pavers and flagstones on a path or wall. It can also be used as an under planting beneath taller plants. Delightful tiny white flowers appear atop the tight green carpet of foliage from late spring to midsummer.
