'Miracle'
Coral Bells, Alum Root, Crimson Bells
zones 4-9
|
| Description:
A "miracle" breakthrough
in Heuchera breeding! This sister seedling of 'Tiramisu' produces pink
flowers in midsummer. This is very unusual for a H. villosa hybrid since
most others have cream colored flowers. During the cooler weather of spring
and fall, the foliage is a fantastic shade of brick red with bright
chartreuse to gold edges and silvered undersides. During the warmer months
of summer, the red pigments lighten and the leaves turn green. 'Miracle'
was hybridized by Thierry Delabroye of France. This plant is a
Heuchera villosa hybrid. The villosa species is a large, late blooming type
that exhibits an increased tolerance of high heat and humidity over other

Heuchera 'Obsidian'
Alum Root, Coral Bells
zones 3-8
|
| Description:
The semi-precious gemstone, Obsidian, is
the result of volcanic lava coming in contact with water. This process
results in a glassy texture. Heuchera 'Obsidian' is similar to the gemstone
in that it's not only genuinely black but has the glassy luster as well. The
leaves of this Heuchera are so smooth it appears it has been polished to
achieve this gemstone effect. Aptly named: this new Heuchera is destined to
become a new favorite. Fabulous when paired with brightly colored flowers

'Tiramisu'
Coral Bells, Alum Root
zones 4-9
|
Description:
'Tiramisu' is a very showy H. villosa hybrid and it represents a
breakthrough in heuchera breeding. In both spring and fall, the chartreuse
foliage has a heavy smattering of brick red coloration that radiates out
from the midrib of each leaf. During the summer, the leaves lighten to
chartreuse and develop a light silver overlay. 'Tiramisu' has a
fantastic compact habit, so it looks great in containers or as edging. This
absolutely unique heuchera is from hybridizer Thierry Delabroye of France. |
