| Description:
Gray-green, aromatic foliage gives way to a plethora of lavender-blue
flowers in early thru midsummer. The relatively short stature of this
variety makes it a good candidate for the front of the border. When Nepeta's
stems are broken, they release an aroma into the air that tends to attract
cats, thus its common name, Catmint. |

Nepeta
x faassenii 'Kit Kat'
Catmint, Catnip
zones 3-8
|
| Description:
A unique new dwarf form of nepeta that is smaller in scale in every aspect:
shorter habit, smaller leaves, and smaller flowers (but more numerous). The
small, grey-green leaves form a wide, dense clump that can be used as a
ground cover in sunny, dry areas or rock gardens. From early through late
summer, small terminal clusters of nearly true blue flowers are produced.
When Nepeta's stems are broken, they release an aroma into the air that
tends to attract cats, thus its common name, Catmint. |

| Description:
Gray-green, aromatic foliage gives way to a plethora of soft lavender-blue
flowers which are produced over a long period in summer. Although the stems
are 2-3 feet long, the plant's arching habit brings the height down to 18 to
24 inches if it is not staked. When Nepeta's stems are broken, they release
an aroma into the air that tends to attract cats, thus its common name,
Catmint. |
