Violas, or Pansies, do best in cool climates and grow best in partial shade
and moist, rich organic soil. After this plant blooms, dead-head or
sheer back to promote a re-bloom. In fall, you may want to cut the
plant back to it's basal foliage and it will come back more full the next

Divide plant to propagate in early spring or
fall. Cuttings can be taken in the summer. Wire cages may be
needed if rabbits are a problem in your area. You can also spray with
hot pepper wax to deter critters. Fertilize with Plant-tone as
recommended. Lightly sheer after bloom and it will bloom again. In the
