Frequently Asked Questions:
-
What fertilizer should I use when seeding my
lawn?
If you are not concerned about preventing crabgrass, we suggest
using Greenview's Winter Green. Winter Green will promote root
growth of the new grass seedlings. If you are concerned about
preventing crabgrass, apply Greenview's Seed Starter plus Crabgrass
Preventer. This product "knows" the difference between grass
seed and other germinating weed seeds.
-
Do I have to apply all 4-steps of a 4-step lawn
care program?
No, in fact, we now carry a professional-formula 2-step lawn
care program with crabgrass prevention, weed killers and
slow-release fertilizers for season-long feeding.
-
What is the difference between Scott's and
Greenview fertilizers?
Greenview fertilizers are far superior to the Scott's
fertilizers you find at big box stores. However, we carry
Scott's Super Turf Builder series that is the best quality
fertilizer that Scott's produces. Greenview and Scott's
Super Turf Builder fertilizers are almost equal but Greenview
Crabicide Green has been shown to be better than Scott's Super Turf
Builder Plus Halts Crabicide.
-
Do I have to use a spreader to apply lawn
fertilizer?
We recommend using a spreader to apply lawn fertilizer as this
will equally distribute the fertilizer over the lawn.
