Lime |
Pelletized lime should be applied every other year
(approximately 15 lbs./1,000 ft²) once you have your soil pH to its optimum level, which
is between 6.0 and 6.5. A soil test should be taken to determine where your soil pH is
now. Be sure to keep a two week separation between lime and fertilizers containing
Nitrogen, because lime and nitrogen cancel each other out. The best time to
apply lime is around November 15th.
