Now that we are past the shortest day of the year things are actually looking up as the days will slowly increase in length until it culminates in the summer solstice on June 21st.
At the nursery planting, sticking of cuttings, trimming and repair projects will continue all winter which seems to make the cold winter past much faster.
With today being Christmas we are reminded that the Christian religion is one of charity based on the second of the Ten Commandments of “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” and the parable of the good Samaritan that answers the question of “who is thy neighbour.”
As the prophet Isaiah foretold the coming of the Messiah, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Merry Christmas everyone.
