Warranty Policy

Whether we grow the plants here at the nursery or sourced from outside vendors, our plants are of the utmost quality at the time of purchase. However, we do understand that things do and will happen. For this reason, we guarantee our hardy trees & shrubs for one full year after purchase.

Our policy ensures the time and money spent on your landscape is guaranteed through it’s first growing season (hardy trees & shrubs).

If YOU plant… we guarantee any tree or shrub you plant for 100% of the purchase price for 12 months.

  • Trees, Shrubs & Shrub Roses are guaranteed 100% for 12 months from the purchase date
  • Perennials are guaranteed 100% for 90 days
  • Roses (other than shrub roses) are guaranteed 100% for 3 months.  Shrub Roses are guaranteed for 12 months.
  • Annuals, hanging baskets, mums, bulbs and seasonal plants (such as mums, poinsettias and Christmas trees) are NOT guaranteed.
  • Landscapers, lawn services, etc. have a separate warranty policy.

If WE plant… we guarantee any tree or shrub installed by us or a sub-contractor of Dayton Nursery for 100% of the purchase price for one year.

Typical maintenance for plants should be evident; watering, insect control, pruning, etc. Plants purchased before the last frost date must also be covered overnight if temperatures will be 35 degrees or less.  Frost/freeze damage, animal damage, wind damage, storm damage and vandalism will not be warrantied. All trees and shrubs are subject to proper planting conditions. If NOT, guarantee is VOID.

A credit voucher for the original purchase price will be given for any warranty claim.  Original sales receipt must be present. A limit of one replacement/voucher will be issued per warranty claim.

If at anytime you notice a problem with your plant(s), we ask that you bring a sample leaf, small branch, etc… so that we can help you with a solution.  You can also email pictures to us for diagnosis.

Shipping Policy

We are no longer offering shipping service outside of our normal delivery range in NE Ohio.  See delivery chart.

Hold Policy

We understand that sometimes you are not quite ready to plant!  We will hold plant material for 30 days from the date of purchase when paid in full at time of sale.

A 20% service charge per month will be charged over the initial 30 day hold period.

If product is not picked up or delivered within 90 days, the product(s) may be assumed to be abandoned.

Restocking fee: If plant and merchandise held on the property after the first 30 day period is cancelled and refunded, the order is subject to a 20% restocking fee as of June 1, 2018.

Return Policy

We will gladly accept returns for products returned in their original condition within 30 days of the original purchase date.Products returned beyond this time period will not be accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse worn or damaged merchandise.

Other restrictions may apply.

Dont have your receipt? In many instances, we can verify purchases made within the past 2 years on a store account or credit card using our receipt look-up system.

Delivery & Installation

Let us do the heavy lifting for you!

We offer delivery and installation services within 50 miles of the nursery.  Delivery fees are based on zip codes, whereas installation fees are based on the subtotal of the order.

Call Ahead Service

We encourage you to use our handy call (or email) ahead service. If you have a previous order that needs to be picked up, just call us at 330-825-3320, email us or fax your request to 330-825-9661 and your order will be ready at the specified time.

We do ask that you give us as much time as possible especially during the busy spring season.
